UFC Betting – Evans, Ortiz Square Off In Massive Rematch

Those who play online casino games aren’t usually affected by injury (we don’t think, anyway), but in the UFC, there has been a rash of injuries, particularly to the 205-pound division. Two former champions have dealt with these injuries and find themselves meeting for the second time as Rashad Evans takes on Tito Ortiz in Philadelphia at UFC 133 in a match that will have a major affect on who meets the next champion.

UFC Betting – Saturday, August 6th, 9:00 PM ET

Evans (15-1-1-) was supposed to fight former teammate and champion Jon Jones, but Jones suffered a hand injury (that Evans thinks was overblown) and will fight “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 135 instead. Evans, an excellent wrestler, has beaten Thiago Silva and Jackson, his bitter rival and fellow coach in the 10th season of “The Ultimate Fighter”.

Ortiz (16-8-1) was on his way out of the UFC, but a stunning submission of Ryan Bader in early July put him in position for this match after Phil Davis suffered an injury while training for this match. Ortiz had lost four of his last five matches before the Bader fight, and he showed that he still has something left in the tank.

Sports betting odds have Evans as a massive -450 favorite in this rematch with Ortiz, who is rated at +325, and these two met in July 2007, fighting to a draw after Ortiz was docked a point for holding onto the cage. It's no Bet Online scam, that was Evans’ first big fight and he handled it well; he has only gotten better since, and while the Bader win was a nice story, Ortiz is on the downside of his career. Take Rashad Evans in a decision in your sports betting online book.
