Florida Alabama lines highlight what should be a downright awesome weekend for college football betting picks. The SEC title game is on everyone’s mind, as is the Pac-10 game. You should pick Florida and Oregon State. Here’s why.

Florida  -5.5

Alabama is nothing to sneeze at. It plays good defense – top-five in the nation for both rushing and passing – and it forces lots of turnovers. The Crimson Tide also have Heisman Trophy candidate Mark Ingram pounding away in the running game; he’s amassed over 1,4000 rushing yards this season. However, Ingram disappeared last week against Auburn; what if he does so against Florida, which has the nation’s top defense?

Florida just has more ways to win. Tim Tebow makes plays with his feet and can beat defenses through the air too. The Gators will find a way to win and cover the spread.

Oregon State +9.5

This is a more controversial pick but is it really that crazy when you break it down? The Beavers have a good run defense and they score big points. How about those Rodgers brothers? Jacquizz ran for 19 scores while James caught 77 passes for eight scores. Oregon plays solid “D” but got torched by Stanford, Purdue and Arizona. The Ducks ain’t perfect. The Beavers are rested after a bye and should keep this game within 10 points. Remember that when you make your football picks.
